HI, Just because you were able to stop wheel does not mean everything is good,sounds like you either have frozen caliper or collapsed brake hose you should have taken caliper apart to clean it,REMOVE BLEEDER,use air to blow out piston then clean with fine steel wool.DO NOT USE WD-40.USE WATER.If the o-ring is good you can reuse it.although rebuild kit would be the way to go.to reinstall piston,dry good use brake fluid to lube o-ring,dust cover and piston and reinstall.if the piston or caliper are SCORED bad you will have to replace assembly.IT WILL LEAK AFTER CLEANING.replace brake line .bleed system.i doubt you will need new caliper,ive done this countless times on all kinds of vehicles.ALL rebuild kit is o-ring and dust cover,my guess is about $10.hope this helps.Giro
